Matthew D. Dake

Matthew D. Dake joined Wertz Law Firm, P.C., in January, 2000, after engaging in general practice in both Nebraska and Des Moines, Iowa. He is a native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and graduated with honors from the University of Northern Iowa, earning a degree in Business Administration with a Communications minor. Matt earned a law degree from Creighton University in 1997, graduating Cum Laude and ranking in the top 15% of his class. While at Creighton, Matt was selected as one of four participants to represent Creighton University at the National Jessup International Moot Court Competition.

Matt was admitted to the Iowa Bar in 1997. He is a member of the Linn County Bar Association, the Iowa State Bar Association, and is a member of the Iowa Trial Lawyers Association. In addition to practicing in Iowa's state courts, Matt is admitted to practice in federal court in both the Northern and Southern District Courts of Iowa. matt represents a diverse group of clients in matters relating to both workers' compensation and personal injury.
