Thomas M. Wertz is a member of the Iowa Trial Lawyers Association (Member: Board of Governors; Chairperson of the Core Group, Workers' Compensation Section); Iowa Association of Workers' Compensation Lawyers; Iowa State Bar Association (Workers' Compensation Section Council, Workers' Compensation Section Legislative Committee); Work Injury Litigation Group; American Trial Lawyers Association; Linn County Bar Association.

Tom is a Board member of the Iowa Arthritis Foundation, and Chairperson of the Cedar Rapids Arthritis Foundation Board.

Tom is also a Board member of USA Rugby, and President of the Midwest Rugby Union. Tom practices primarily in workers' compensation law.
