Workers' Compensation
Permanent Partial Disability
When your medical treatment has concluded, but you have not obtained a complete recovery from your injury, you are likely entitled to permanent partial disability (PPD) benefits. If you still have symptoms or limitations as a result of your injury, you should be evaluated by your physician for a functional impairment rating. If the employer or insurance carrier will not have you evaluated for this functional impairment rating, you should contact an attorney.
Typically, employers and insurance companies will pay PPD benefits based upon the functional impairment rating provided by your physician. However, this may not be the entire amount of compensation you are entitled to. When you have been provided with a functional impairment rating, you should contact us to determine if you have been properly compensated for your injury.
